Ann Tabone, 70, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, August 31, 2022 at her home in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania.  Her husband and a cousin-in-law, who provided exceptional nursing care while she was dying, were at her bedside as she passed.

Ann was born in the Bronx in New York City on October 11, 1951, a daughter of the late Thomas and Pauline (Merendino) Tabone.

She was the loving wife of Charles Mazza.  They were married on October 20, 2021.  Since the covid pandemic only allowed the couple to have a small group of witnesses at their 2021 wedding, they had been planning a renewal of vows and a larger reception in October 2022.

Ann worked in marketing at General Mills and Consumer Union in Westchester County, New York and on various marketing projects in the Lehigh Valley and nearby New Jersey.  She took care of her ailing father, brother and mother for over a decade.  She volunteered at the Pennsylvania Shakespeare Festival and was an associate at the St. Francis Center for Renewal for more than two decades.  She participated in classes and activities, including expressive yoga, theater and films.  Her knowledge and enjoyment of Broadway theater musicals was her passion.  Even though she moved to the Lehigh Valley over three decades ago, she would go into Manhattan to theater as often as she could.  Her passion continued as she volunteered at the Pennsylvania Shakespeare Festival at DeSales University in Center Valley, Pennsylvania.

Ann graduated with an associate's degree in applied science and business marketing from Westchester Community College, Valhalla, New York in June, 1978.  She went on to earn a bachelor's degree, magna cum laude, in business administration from Pace University, Pleasantville, New York, in February, 1981.

In addition to her loving husband, the family that has survived are her aunt, Marie Tabone of Bethlehem, PA, as well as a sister, nieces and nephews.  She is also survived by many close friends in the Lehigh Valley, Pennsylvania, New York State, Connecticut, Indiana and Colorado.  She is predeceased by her father, Thomas, her mother, Pauline and her her brother, Charles.

As her husband said in his personal vows to her at their wedding ceremony in October 2021, "I know a life with you will be beautiful.  I know we will laugh every single day.  I'm so lucky having you to love.. .mia moglie." Although their time together was short, it was rich in love, laughter and their joy in each other's presence.  Her husband would like to thank St. Luke's Hospice for their loving and compassionate care as she approached the end of her life.

Funeral arrangements are through Pearson Funeral Home, 1901 Linden Street, Bethlehem, PA.  Funeral services will all take place on Wednesday, September 7.  There will be a calling hour from 9:00 am to 10:00 am on September 7 in the Pearson Funeral Home, followed by Mass of Christian Burial in St. Anne's Roman Catholic Church, 450 E. Washington Avenue, Bethlehem at 10:30 am.  Burial in Holy Saviour Cemetery, 2575 Linden Street, Bethlehem,  will follow the mass.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Ann's name may be sent to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105-9959.
