Anna Marie Smereka, 77, of Bethlehem, passed away Tuesday, October 29, 2019, in Lehigh Valley Hospital - Muhlenberg.  She was predeceased by her husband, Edward Smereka.

Born in Bethlehem, she was a daughter of the late Andrew and Anna (Gloner) Wargo.

A 1986 graduate of the Northampton Community College nursing program, Anna Marie was a registered nurse in the Emergency Department at Muhlenberg Hospital for many years before retiring.

Anna Marie was an avid reader, enjoyed knitting, crocheting and crossword puzzles.  She loved feeding and watching the many birds in yard.

Surviving are two sisters, Andrea George, and her husband Sam of Naples, Florida and Arlene Inman, and her husband Tom of Allentown; a brother, Andrew Wargo of Milton; nieces and nephews, Kimberly Burnette, Kelly George, Thomas Inman, Jr., Heather Masteller, Joshua Inman, Alyssa Wischerth and Jenna Wargo.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, November 2, in the Pearson Funeral Home, 1901 Linden Street, Bethlehem, followed by burial in Bethlehem Memorial Park.  Family and friends are invited to a calling hour from 10:00 a.m. until the service begins.
