Barbara A. Hilbert, 71, of Bethlehem, passed away Wednesday, May 23, 2018, in St. Luke's Hospice House.  She was the wife of Donald R. Hilbert with whom she celebrated 44 years of marriage last September.

Born in Bethlehem, she was a daughter of the late Lewis and Carol (Heckman) Luther.

Barbara was employed in the accounting department at Fritch Fuel Co. for more than 30 years.

She loved animals, enjoyed country line dancing and music in general.  In her later years Barbara became politically active as a campaign volunteer.

Surviving are her husband, Donald; a daughter, Jennifer of Bethlehem; sisters, Louise Luther of Bethlehem and Lois Hartzell of Mount Laurel, NJ; nieces and nephews.  She was predeceased by a sister, Stephanie Luther-Forsstrom.

A Memorial Service will be held at 1p.m. on Saturday, June 2, in the Pearson Funeral Home, 1901 Linden Street, Bethlehem.
