Barbara Fri Hubbard, 91, of Bethlehem, died peacefully Monday, December 4, 2017, in Kirkland Village. She was the wife of William H. Hubbard, II for 65 years.

Born in Bronxville, NY, she was the daughter of the late James Lloyd and Florence (Parks) Fri.

A 1948 graduate of Smith College, Barbara was employed as a nursery school teacher at First Presbyterian Church of Bethlehem for many years and later at the Heritage Children's Shop, Bethlehem.

She was a member of First Presbyterian Church of Bethlehem - PC (USA) where she served as a deacon and taught Sunday school. A long time volunteer at St. Luke's Hospital, Barbara belonged to the Junior League of the Lehigh Valley, Saucon Valley Country Club and served on the Family Counseling board of Northampton County.

She will be remembered for her warm smile and loving spirit.

Survivors: Husband, William; son, William H., III of Bethlehem; daughters, Nancy Parks Hubbard Haviland, and her husband Stewart Haviland of Acton, MA and Margaret Bassett Hubbard, and her partner Paul Mattiola of Coopersburg; grandchildren, Peter and Emily Haviland and Lillian Hubbard; and her brother's children, Bill and Stan Fri, Sally Fri, and Carol Fri Robinson, with whom she shared a very special bond.  She was predeceased by her beloved brother, James Lloyd Fri, Jr.

Services: Calling hours will be held from 4 - 6 p.m. Monday, December 11, in the Pearson Funeral Home, 1901 Linden Street, Bethlehem.  A memorial service at Kirkland Village will be Tuesday, December 12, at 2 p.m. Online condolences may be sent to www.pearsonfh.com.
