Ben Shaner, 94, of Bethlehem, passed away peacefully on Monday, August 20, 2018.  He was the devoted husband of Grace Frankenfield Shaner for 72 years.

Ben was a World War II veteran having served in the Navy on the destroyer, the Henry A. Wiley, in the Pacific theater.  He was employed for many years by the Bethlehem Steel Co. and retired from there as the Manager of Employee Benefits.

He is survived by his wife, Grace; his two daughters, Jan Shaner Greenlee (Sam) and JoAnn Shaner (Reza); four grandchildren, Behzad, Darob, Lauren and Emily; and three great-grandchildren, Wyatt, Charlotte and Reese.
