Betty Jane Greene, 89, of Bethlehem, died Sunday, November 26, 2017, in Gracedale.  She was the wife of Donald K. Greene.  They celebrated their 71st wedding anniversary on August 10.

Born in Lower Saucon Township, she was a daughter of the late Jacob and Edna (Emery) Murray.

She was a cook at Liberty High School and later in the home of the Killian family.

Betty was a member of Bethany Church - UCC, Bethlehem and their Peanutmaker group.  She also played in the Kitchen Band of the Bath Senior Center.

She was deeply loved by staff and residents at Gracedale because of her sunny personality and joke-telling.

Survivors: Daughter, Deborah May Fisher of Northampton; sister, Marge Bartholomew of Hellertown; granddaughter, Nicole; and great-grandchildren, Michael, Lilley and Matthew.  She was predeceased by brothers, Frank and Harvey Murray and sisters, Irene Troman and Helen Cope.

Services: A Celebration of Betty's Life will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, December 1, in the Gracedale Chapel.
