Carl Peterson Nash, 84, of Easton, Pennsylvania, passed away on July 8, 2026. He was the son of Edna Peterson Nash and Ralph Davenport Nash. A native of Williamsport, Pennsylvania, he graduated from Central Dauphin High School in 1959 and Valley Forge Military Academy, before serving in the Army National Guard of Pennsylvania until 1968 and later graduating from York College of Pennsylvania in 1971.

Although a longtime resident of Clinton, New Jersey, it was Pennsylvania that always felt most like home to Carl. He married his wife of nearly fifty years, Brenda (Brunner) Nash, in Harrisburg on April 10, 1965. Both of his children, Julie and Steven, were born in Pennsylvania, and he built a large circle of friends in the Easton area who enriched his life. His love of place merged easily with his love of baseball. He loved telling stories about taking the train from Harrisburg to Philadelphia to watch his favorite player, Richie Ashburn, at Shibe Park, and later taking his son to games at Veterans Stadium. He delighted in the team's success over the years, including their 2008 World Championship.

He was a man of conviction, strong will, and loyal friendships. Through his work in sales at AMF Bowling Incorporated, he traveled across the country and up and down the Atlantic coast, meeting with proprietors, colleagues, and others along the way. The work sharpened his gift for working a room, learning people's stories, and making friends wherever he went. It may have been his truest natural environment, as he never seemed more comfortable than when he was joking with friends over a vodka martini or shooting the breeze with the folks in the pinspotter factory. He retired at 59 to devote more time to his love of golf, as a longtime member of Harkers Hollow Golf Club, along with playing cards, watching car racing, everything from dirt track sprint cars to NASCAR, and spending time with family and friends.

He is preceded in death by his parents, his wife, and his sister, Louise (Nash) Gallagher. His memory will be carried forward by his children, Julie (Kevin Foster) and Steven (Celeste Nicholson), and four grandchildren, Holden, Avery, Riley, and Oscar.

A private family ceremony will take place in Maine, where he vacationed for years with his mother and his sister's family, and later returned often with his own wife and children. A celebration of life will follow later this summer for friends and family, with details to come. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to Suburban EMS in Palmer Township.
