Carole J. Moretz, of Bath, died peacefully on Saturday, September 24, 2022, her 76th birthday,  in her residence.   She was the wife of the late Raymond G. Moretz, Jr. who died in 2014.

Born in Bethlehem, she was a daughter of the late Gerald and Virginia (Benner) Schappell.

Carole received a Master's of Nursing degree from the University of Pennsylvania, and later earned both Master's and PhD. in Psychology from the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine.  She had a private psychology practice and also worked in the Cancer Wellness Center at Lehigh Valley Health Network for many years.

An avid reader and knitter, Carole loved birds, travel, coffee, music (especially playing the flute), and visiting with family and friends.

Surviving are children, Aaron Moretz, Misty Alexander, Zachary (Kristin) Moretz and Selena (Stephen) Lavonier; sisters, Patricia Hein and Judith Wincott; grandchildren, Wynston, Kennedy, Graydon and Claude.  She was predeceased by granddaughters Sadie and Elise.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday, September 28, in the Pearson Funeral Home, 1901 Linden Street, Bethlehem, PA.  Family and friends are invited to call from 5:30 p.m. until service time.  Burial will be private at the convenience of the family.
