Carville Godfrey Bevans Jr., 92, born and raised near Baltimore, died peacefully January 2, 2026 in Bethlehem. His wife Carolyn May Ament Bevans died December 2024.  They knew each other from first grade.

He is survived by sons Carville lll and companion Jorg Ohst of Frankfurt, Germany, Jonathan and wife Lori; grandchildren Emily and husband Jonathan Krail and great granddaughter Ella; Conrad and wife Abigail and great grandson Henry; Everette and wife Andrea; Ashton and wife Alyssa.

Carville received BA, ROTC Distinguished Military Graduate, and MA from The Johns Hopkins University.  He was appointed Research Staff Assistant by Dean of Engineering on the first operations research contract.  Also appointed Instructor Business and Industrial Management by JHU President Milton Eisenhower.  Carville served as Captain in USAR as Company Commander and Battalion Adjutant.

Carville, Carolyn and two young sons moved to Bethlehem in 1965 and became Bethlehem Steel Manager Records Planning and Printing Services.  Chaired Boy Scout Troop 362 and BASD PTAs President.  Active with First Presbyterian Church - Bethlehem as usher, Deacon and Trustee.

Carville and Carolyn moved to Moravian Village after 55 years on Covington Avenue.  Carville requested, in his memory, those who knew him take a bunch of flowers or plant to a neighbor or friend or someone you do not know well to bring joy and brighten their day.

There will be no services per Carville's request.
