Catherine Angst, 79, of Bethlehem, died Wednesday, February 15, 2017, in Lehigh Valley Hospital - Muhlenberg.  She was the wife of Kermit A. Angst for 59 years.

Born in Bethlehem, she was a daughter of the late Peter and Mary (Timko) Czap.

Catherine was employed by the Bethlehem Area School District from 1974-1978.  Later she worked as a clerk at Union Bank through many corporate transitions until retiring from Core States Bank in 1996.

She was a member of Ss. Peter and Paul Byzantine Catholic Church.

Survivors: Husband, Kermit; daughters, Dawn Marie Smith and Karen Ann, wife of David Hanzelman, who was Catherine's favorite, all of Bethlehem; grandchildren, Rachel Catherine Smith, Lance Corporal Leah Marie Smith and Alec David Smith; and granddog, Shilo.  She was predeceased by siblings, Helen, Mary, Julie, Steve, John and Anne.

Services: 11 a.m. Monday, February 20, in the Pearson Funeral Home, 1901 Linden Street, Bethlehem, followed by interment in Bethlehem Memorial Park.  Viewing will be held from 4 - 6 p.m. Sunday, February 19.
