Charles Eugene Mann, 86, passed away gracefully surrounded by his loving wife of 50 years Mary E. Mann and his family. Charlie was born in Northampton on August 3, 1936 to Elwood Charles and Pearl (Keller) Mann.

A graduate of Northampton High School, he worked for thirty years at the former Bethlehem Steel Co. and then Delaware River Joint Toll Bridge Commission for 16 years. He believed in hard work and service to his community. An avid baseball lover from playing in the Blue Mountain League and St. Matthew's softball team to later loving dart baseball with his church friends. Charlie touched many lives through coaching Little League. He dedicated his life to the church serving on Church Council, ushering and property committee at St. Matthew's Lutheran Church. He is a member of Light of Christ Lutheran Church (formerly St. Matthew's). Charlie is watching the Phillies and eating ice cream with his pals Lefty and brother Carl who preceded him in death.

He is survived by his wife, Mary (Ernst) Mann; sons, Daniel E. and Bernie, Dennis C., Charles D. and Kim, and David John; daughter Suzanne M. Makary and Ross; sisters, Renae Yelles and Leona Mann; nine grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by brother Carl and a granddaughter.

Services will be held at 11 AM Thursday, April 27, in Light of Christ Lutheran Church, followed by interment in Bethlehem Memorial Park. Family and friends are invited to call Wednesday from 7 – 8:30 PM in the Pearson Funeral Home and from 10 – 11 AM Thursday in the church.
