Christina "Tina" Miranda, 97 years, of Schnecksville, formerly of Nesquehoning, died on the Feast of the Immaculate Conception on December 8, 2016 in her residence. A woman of great faith, she was a strong devotee of the Blessed Virgin Mary and the rosary. For 68 years, Christina was the wife of the late Samuel Miranda, Sr. who died in April of 2005. Born in Nesquehoning, she was the daughter of the late Paul and Anna (Kristofik) Dolinsky.  She attended Nesquehoning High School and dedicated her life as a faithful wife, mother, and grandmother. A former member of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church, Nesquehoning, she was a member of the Sodality and Choir, and she participated in many of the church's fundraising activities. Currently, she was a member of St. Ursula Roman Catholic Church in Fountain Hill, where she was an honorary member of the music ministry.

Survivors: sons, Jerome and his wife Theresa of Northampton, Samuel Jr. and his wife Francine of Schnecksville; sister-in-law, Bertha Miranda of Whitehall; grandchildren, Lori A. Weiss, Donna Trovarello and her husband Charles, Kristine Sodl and her husband Christopher, Kara Stianche and her husband Michael, Monica Pangaio and her husband Antonio, and Andrew S. Miranda and his wife Amanda; great-grandchildren, Alec Shara, Michael, Mia and Matthew Stianche, and Mikayla, Brenna and Alexandra Pangaio. She was predeceased by her daughter, Adelina "Addie" and her husband William R. Weiss Jr., a grandson, Jerome S. Miranda, Jr. and six brothers and sisters.

Services: Family and friends may gather on Sunday, December 11, 2016 from 4:30 – 6:00 P.M. at St. Ursula Roman Catholic Church, 1800 Broadway, Bethlehem, 18015. Private entombment will be in the Resurrection Mausoleum, Upper Macungie Twp. Pearson Funeral Home of Bethlehem has the privilege of handling the arrangements.
