Christine A. Palmisano, 53, of Bethlehem, passed away Thursday, January 17, 2019, in Lehigh Valley Hospital - Muhlenberg.  She and her husband, Richard Palmisano have been married 26 years.

Born in Hampton, Virginia, she was the daughter of the late Thomas L. Smith and the late Jayne E. Gruver Smith.

Christine was a member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church, Bethlehem Township.  She devoted her life to supporting her daughters through community service and volunteering at the school, church, various athletic programs and civic endeavors.  Christine was a beacon of light to those around her always willing to lend a helping hand and improve everything she was involved in.  Her upbeat personality and positivity was infectious.  Her passion, devotion and love for her family was abundant in her everyday.  Christine was not only a person of extreme strength and compassion for those within her family, but also those outside her family.

Although she struggled with a chronic illness for the past couple of years, she never let it dull her spirit or take away from her everyday activities and lifetime of happiness with her children and husband.  Anyone who met Christine likely has a story about her and how she made them feel.  She was a big proponent of action and the fact that people will not remember what you said, but rather what you did.

Christine wanted only the best for her two daughters and hoped to see them graduate from college in the near future.  People who knew her know that she was a truly special person who has left an indelible mark upon her daughters, husband, and the rest of the community.

Surviving with her husband, Richard, are daughters, Kristina and Alexandra, and a sister, Heather Glanz.

A Mass of Christian Burial and celebration of Christine's life is being planned for the spring.
