Darlene B. Ackerman, 79, of Bethlehem, passed away March 12, 2022 in Sacred Heart by the Creek.  She and her husband of 56 years, Fred C. Ackerman, were married October 16, 1965.

Born in Bethlehem, she was the daughter of the late Fred G. and Irene (Keiper) Berger.

A 1961 graduate of Liberty High School, Dolly was employed by Western Electric before retiring.

She was a member of Bethany UCC Church, Bethlehem.  An avid homemaker, she enjoyed needlework of all types.  Her homemaking talents will be missed.

Surviving with her husband, Fred, are her daughter, Karen Ackerman of Northampton; a sister, Ruth Gilbert of Allentown; grandchildren Christopher and Sarah Pitsilos.  She was predeceased by a sister Jean LaDuca, a brother Robert Berger and an infant twin sister Arlene.

Services will be private at the convenience of the family.  In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be sent to Bethany UCC Church.
