Darlene A. Yeakel, 74, of Allentown, passed away peacefully April 30, 2023 in her home. Her husband of 27 years, Donald H. Yeakel, died in 2021.

Born in Bethlehem, she was a daughter of Ann (Fehnel) Frantz of Whitehall and the late Ronald Frantz.

Darlene was an ecocardiogram technician at Lehigh Valley Hospital for many years before retiring.

A member of Whitehall Bible Fellowship Church, she enjoyed crafting and collecting porcelain dolls.

Surviving are a daughter, Jaclynne Smith of Wind Gap; a son, James Troxell (Rose) of Allentown; brothers, Ronald Frantz of Jasper, GA and Bruce Frantz of Aledo, TX; sisters, Cindy Wesner of Bath and Sandy Gerber of Allentown; three granddaughters, Amanda, Courtney and Melissa.

Services will be held at 11 AM on Monday, May 8, in the Pearson Funeral Home, 1901 Linden Street, Bethlehem, followed by burial in Bethlehem Memorial Park. Family and friends may call Monday from 10 – 11 AM. In lieu of flowers, memorial may be sent to the American Diabetes Association. (www.pearsonfh.com)
