David A. Hlavinka, 64, of Bethlehem, passed away September 6, 2023 in Lehigh Valley Hospice, Allentown.

Born in Fountain Hill, he is the son of Judith A. (Stahl) Hlavinka of Bethlehem and the late Thomas A. Hlavinka.

He was employed by the Bethlehem Steel Co. and later as a carpenter. David was a member of the Rugby Football Club of Bethlehem and was a vocal performer for a punk rock band.

Surviving with his mother Judith are a brother, Mark (Kristin) of Macungie; nephew, Alexander; niece, Jamie Lee; aunts, Dottie Hlavinka Tritsch of Lewisburg, PA, Cheryl Stahl (David) of Bethlehem, Shelby Stahl Foley (Terry) of Cedar Rapids, Iowa; and many cousins. He was predeceased by a brother Thomas in 2021.

A Memorial Service will be held at 11 AM Thursday, September 14, in the Pearson Funeral Home, 1901 Linden Street, Bethlehem, followed by inurnment in Hellertown Union Cemetery. Family and friends may call Thursday from 10 – 11 AM.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be sent to Center for Animal Health and Welfare or Blessed Trinity Lutheran Church.
