Dennis C. Shingledecker, 70, of Bethlehem, passed away Friday, August 2, 2019, in St. Luke's Hospice House surrounded by his loving family.  He was the husband of Mary MacMahon.

Born in Allentown, he was the son of the late Cloyd and Evelyn (Gerkovich) Shingledecker.

He was employed in the sales and marketing department at Nabisco Co. before retiring.  Following graduation from Liberty High School, Dennis attended Penn State and then graduated from Moravian College.

A self-admitted duffer, Dennis enjoyed golfing, gardening, and attending  sporting events for Liberty, Penn State and Moravian.  He played the herald trumpet in Liberty High School's Grenadier Band for two years, and also marched in the Penn State Blue Band.  Dennis was a Boy Scout and also belonged to the Liberty High School Key Club.

Surviving are his wife, Mary; two sons, Matthew, and fiancé Sabrina of Tucson, Arizona  and David, and wife Selma of Hackettstown, New Jersey; a daughter, Dana Marie Giannaci, and husband Mark of Succsunna, New Jersey; a sister, Deborah Hepler, and husband Peter of Bethlehem; a granddaughter, Ava Marie; two step-sons, Jeffrey Nichol, and wife Tara and Jonathan Nichol, all of Hellertown; step-grandchildren, Aiden and Alexia; a niece, Alison, and fiancé Doug in New York; a nephew, Eric in Massachusetts; and beloved aunts, uncles and cousins.

Services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, August 6, in the Pearson Funeral Home, 1901 Linden Street, Bethlehem, followed by interment in Cedar Hill Memorial Park, Allentown.  Family and friends are invited to viewing hours Monday, August 5, from 6 - 8 p.m.
