Donald Ellis Dorney of Allentown died Saturday, July 31, in Fayetteville, NC.  He was married for over 45 years to Elizabeth (Wolfe) Dorney, who predeceased him on August 18, 1999.

Born in Dorneyville on March 8, 1932, he was the son of Harold E. F. and Marjorie (Snyder) Dorney.  Donald served as the Vice President of the Allentown High School Class of 1949.  A 1953 and 1970 graduate of Lehigh University, with Bachelor's and Master's Degrees in Metallurgical Engineering, he was a patent holder and national award-winning engineer with Bethlehem Steel.  A US Army veteran, he served honorably as an Ordnance officer from 1954 to 1961.

Survivors: Sons, all Army veterans, Jeffry Edward of Spokane, WA, Scott David of Fayetteville, NC and Todd Leh (predeceased July 1980); sister Alice of Kempton; seven grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
