Donald B. Snider, 89, of Hellertown, PA passed away September 10, 2024. Born July 14, 1935 in Williamsport, he was the son of the late Ernest R. and Frances Snider. He was a graduate of Williamsport High School and Mansfield University.

Music was Don's lifelong passion and career. A talented bassoonist and pianist, Don was a high school music teacher for decades, first in Jersey Shore, PA and later at Liberty High School in Bethlehem. During his tenure at Liberty his Christmas Vespers became extremely popular, drawing audiences from as far as Philadelphia.

Don was a kind, joyous person with an infectious laugh. His family will treasure memories of the many Christmas Eve gatherings at which he happily played the piano and was loved by all. In addition to his love of music he enjoyed weekend trips to Philadelphia in his younger years and later visits to Rehoboth Beach.

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his brother, Jack, and sister-in-law, Karen. He is survived by two nephews, Todd (Moira) of Newark, Delaware and Kipp (Brenna) of Arlington, Virginia, as well as extended family.

A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, October 11, in the Pearson Funeral Home, 1901 Linden Street, Bethlehem. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to the Liberty High School Music Department for a scholarship.
