Dorothy M. Rudis, 95, of Bethlehem, passed away peacefully in her home on August 11, 2026. Her husband of 64 years, George F. Rudis, passed away in 2013.

Born in Fountain Hill, she was the daughter of the late Rollin and Veronica (Drozda) Stralo.

Dorothy was employed as a lab technician at Bell Labs/Western Electric for many years before retiring.

Dorothy was a long time member of the former Church of the Manger where she was involved with Bible Study and the Ladies Auxiliary. She currently belongs to St. Thomas UCC in Bethlehem.

An avid seamstress, she belonged to the Red Hat Club, and Western Electric Pioneer Club. She and her husband traveled extensively through their marriage to California, Arizona, Myrtle Beach, Marco Island, Florida, and many of the Caribbean Islands. They also traveled to Europe.

Surviving are a son Ronald with whom she resided and a sister Barbara Marsteller of Austin, Texas. She was preceded in death by her daughter Monica, sister Gladys Stralo, and brothers John, Ronald “Cork”, Paul, Richard, and Earl.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, August 22, in the Bethlehem Memorial Park Mausoleum, 1851 Linden Street, Bethlehem.
