Edna H. Pagel, 98. of Bethlehem, passed away Monday, August 20, 2018, in Holy Family Manor.  Her husband of 52 years, Edgar D. Pagel, died in 1992.

Born in East Mauch Chunk, she was the daughter of the late Eugene and Selma (Peschel) Hontz.

She was employed as a seamstress for many years before retiring.

Edna was a faithful, active member of Light of Christ Lutheran Church, Bethlehem, where she chaired the Christian service committee, belonged to the quilters group, was a greeter and sponsor.

Surviving are children, Ann of Bethlehem, Paul, and wife Phyllis of Northampton, Richard, and wife Pam of Mechanicsburg and Lois Clauss, and husband Ed of Whitehall; brother, David Hontz of Lehighton; six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.  She was predeceased by a brother and two sisters.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, August 23, in the church.  Family and friends may call Thursday from 10 - 11 a.m. in church.
