Edward J. Turanchik, 67, of Bethlehem Township, died Saturday, July 21, 2018, in his home.

Born in Fountain Hill, he was the son of Mary (Divok) Turanchik of Bethlehem Township and the late Michael Turanchik.

A 1969 graduate of Liberty High School, Ed earned a Bachelor's degree from Pratt Institute in 1973.  He worked for many years in New York and Washington, D.C. before retiring to Bethlehem.  His lifelong passions were twofold: the arts and Lehigh University athletics.  Art was both his vocation and avocation.  He shared his devotion to Lehigh athletics with his entire family through many outlets including attendance at sporting events and  support of the Michael Turanchik Scholarship Fund.

He was a member of Ss. Peter and Paul Byzantine Catholic Church, Bethlehem.

Survivors: Mother, Mary; sister, Barbara, with whom he resided; brother, Michael and wife Frances of Whitsett, NC; and nephews Shawn and Thomas.

Services: Office of Christian Burial with Divine Liturgy will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, July 25, in the church, 1140 Johnston Drive, Bethlehem.  Family and friends may call Wednesday from 9:45 - 10:45 a.m. in the Pearson Funeral Home, 1901 Linden Street, Bethlehem.

Contributions: Memorial donations may be made to the Michael Turanchik Scholarship Fund at Lehigh University.
