Edwin J. Zajac, 91, of Bethlehem, passed away September 14, 2024. He was the husband of Antoinette (Rocko) Zajac, with whom he celebrated 68 years of marriage last November.

Born in Bentleyville, PA, he was the son of the late John and Anna (Klis) Zajac.

Edwin served in the U.S. Army as a Sargent of Company M, 110th Infantry Division, stationed in American Occupied Germany during the Korean War. He earned a Bachelor's degree from the University of Pittsburgh.

He spent his entire career with the Bethlehem Steel Corp. beginning with the Bethlehem Mines, holding numerous positions over the years until retiring as Supervisor of Training and Management Development.

Edwin was a faithful member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church. He was an outdoors man who loved hunting, fishing and golfing. A devoted family man, he enjoyed spending time with family, especially the children.

Surviving with his wife are a son Edwin Jr. of Bethlehem; a daughter Cynthia (Glenn) Gifford of Harrisburg; grandchildren Amy (Paul) and Gary; and great-granddaughters Anna and Emma. He was predeceased by brothers Francis and John and sister Elsie.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 AM Saturday, September 21, in Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church, followed by entombment in Bethlehem Memorial Park. Family and friends may attend viewings from 6 – 7:30 PM on Friday, September 20, in the funeral home and 10 – 11 AM Saturday in the church.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be sent to Good Shepherd Home, 2855 Schoenersville Road, Bethlehem, PA 18017, where his son is a resident.
