Elizabeth A. Gazire, 95, of Bethlehem, passed away peacefully surrounded by loved ones on Friday, July 21, 2017, in her home.  She was the wife of the late George J. Gazire, and the late Nave Fahad, who died in 1970.

Born in Wilkes Barre, she was a daughter of the late Anthony and Anjul (Ellis) Shiner.

A wonderful woman who loved life, family and friends, she was an accomplished seamstress, cook and baker.  One of her greatest joys in life was entertaining for family and friends with tasteful style and flair.  She enjoyed travel, and also had a fashionista side to her which included many trendsetting bags and shoes.

In her earlier years she owned and operated a Dry Goods Business in partnership with her husband and sons.  She will be remembered as the best mother who loved the Lord and loved her family.

Survivors: Daughter, Denise (Bruce) Whealton, with whom she resided; sons, Norman (Annmarie) Fahad of Myrtle Beach, SC and David P. Fahad of Whitehall; step-sons, Raymond (Carlene) Gazire in NJ and George (Linda) Gazire in NJ; three grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

Services: Visitation will be held Wednesday, July 26, from 9 - 11 a.m. in Our Lady of Lebanon Church, followed by Mass at 11 a.m.  Interment will be Thursday, July 27, in St. Peter's Cemetery, New Brunswick, NJ.
