Elizabeth C. Snyder, 92, died Friday, June 29, 2018, in Kirkland Village, Bethlehem, Pennsylvania.

Born in Columbia, New Jersey, she was the daughter of the late Marshal K. and Margery (Cooper) Snyder.

A 1942 graduate of Belvidere High School,  New Jersey, she received a Bachelor of Arts degree from New Jersey State Teachers College, Trenton, in 1946 and a Master's degree from Temple University in 1952.

Elizabeth was a dedicated English teacher at Benjamin Franklin Jr. High School, Ridgewood, NJ for most of her career, and later tutored adults.

She loved cats and was a magnet for teddy bears.

She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church, Westwood, NJ, where she had served as a deacon.

Survivors: Surviving are nephews, Ryan Snyder and his wife, Tracy, Richard K. Snyder and his wife, Mary, and cousins.  Elizabeth was predeceased by her brother, Richard K. Snyder.

Services: Family and friends are invited to call Saturday, July 7, from 10 - 11 a.m. in the Pearson Funeral Home, 1901 Linden Street, Bethlehem, followed by a funeral service at 11 a.m. in the funeral home.
