Emeline W. Cliff, 101, of Kirkland Village, passed away October 15, 2023, in St. Luke's Hospital. Her husband of 73 years, William T. Cliff, died in 2018. Born in Bethlehem, she was a daughter of the late Harry and Lillie (Geiger) Wagner.

Emy attended Bethlehem schools and graduated from Liberty High School in 1940. From childhood she wanted to be a nurse. In 1940 she entered the Allentown Hospital School of Nursing to fulfill that wish to become a registered nurse. In 1945 she received a Certificate in Public Health Nursing from the University of Pennsylvania. She earned a Bachelor's degree in Nursing from Kutztown University in 1960, and a Master's degree along with Certification as a Home School Visitor and Counselor from Lehigh University. Emeline was employed as a Bethlehem Area School District nurse from 1957-68 and as a home school visitor from 1968-82.

Emy was active at Rosemont Lutheran Church and later at First Presbyterian Church of Bethlehem. She sang in choirs, was active in women's organizations and belonged to the circles of both churches.

She is survived by a daughter, Susan Webster, and her husband Stephen of Randolph, VT; three grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by a daughter Nancy Cliff and her husband Craig Freas.

A Graveside service will be held at 11 AM on Saturday, November 11, in Bethlehem Memorial Park. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Pearson Funeral Home, Bethlehem.
