Emma B. Safranek, 94, of Bethlehem, passed away January 30, 2021.  Her husband of 45 years, William J. Safranek, died in 2000.

Born in Elizabeth, NJ, she was the daughter of the late Pasquale and Antoinette (Campanilla) DiLonardo.

Emma was employed by the Bethlehem Area School District from 1971 to 1989, first as the secretary to one of the first superintendents, then at various positions such as secretary at Interim School, and other Ed Center positions.  She had a passion for working with students with special needs at the BASD Interim School for many years.

A member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church, Emma was an avid "monk" collector, and enjoyed time in the Poconos on her weekends.

Surviving are her son William and wife Stephanie of Bethlehem Township; and grandson Hayden.  She was predeceased by her son Thomas, three sisters and a brother.

Services will be private at the convenience of the family with burial in Holy Saviour Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be sent to Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church or St. Francis Friary of Easton, Pa.
