Ernest S. Shearer, Jr., 84, of Bethlehem Township, passed away September 8, 2024, in Holy Family Manor, Bethlehem.

Born in Fountain Hill, he was the son of the late Ernest S. Sr. and Rose E. (Andrew) Shearer.

He was employed as an exhaust operator at IT&T from 1965 – 1995. He served in the U. S. Army from 1963 – 1965 during the Vietnam War.

Ernie was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Bethlehem Township. He enjoyed dining out in restaurants, vintage cars, and attending plays, especially Sight and Sound Productions. He loved the simple things in life that involved his family.

Surviving are brothers Robert and his wife Mary Ann in Florida, and Kevin and his wife Jill of Allentown; and several nieces and nephews.

A prayer service will be held at 11:00 AM on Thursday, September 12, in the Pearson Funeral Home, followed by burial in Springtown Cemetery.
