Ferdinand Roger Canto, born on September 30, 1926, in the Lehigh Valley, Pennsylvania, passed away peacefully on September 29, 2024, just one day shy of his 98th birthday. He was a devoted husband to Helen Josephine Kluge, with whom he shared a lifetime of love and companionship.

Ferdinand began his career as a mechanic in Bethlehem before joining forces with his brother Alfred to establish their own successful electrician business. His work ethic and dedication to his craft were admired by all who knew him. Outside of work, Ferdinand was an avid bowler and found great joy on the golf course, spending many happy hours pursuing his passions.

For many years, Ferdinand resided at 1227 Vermont Ave. in Salisbury Township, Pennsylvania, before moving to his final home at 1416 Center St. in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania. Wherever he lived, Ferdinand was known for his warmth, kindness, and neighborly spirit.

Above all, Ferdinand was a beloved father and family man. His unwavering love and dedication to his family will forever be cherished. He is survived by his son, Joseph Canto, and a family who adored him. His passing leaves a profound void in their hearts, but his memory will live on in the countless lives he touched.

Ferdinand Roger Canto's life was a testament to hard work, love, and dedication, and his family will forever honor the legacy he leaves behind.

A Memorial Service will be held at 11 AM on Thursday, October 10, in the Pearson Funeral Home, 1901 Linden Street, Bethlehem, with a Calling Hour from 10 AM until the service begins.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to the Good Shepherd Rehabilitation Hospital.
