Frank H. Fichter, 97, of Kunkletown, passed away Sunday, October 10, 2021.  He was the husband of the late Nancy (Sherry) Fichter who died in 2008.

Born in West Hazleton, he was the son of the late Walter and Laura (Herlikofer) Fichter.

Frank was employed by PP&L for 40 years, before retiring in 1986 as a supervisor.

He proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy during World War II aboard the USS Parks.  Frank enjoyed traveling with his wife in their motor home throughout the United States and Canada.  An avid fisherman, he resided in Pine Island, Florida for the last 33 years.  Frank was a member of Azalea Lodge #687 F.&A.M. of Hazelton, Lehigh Consistory, Allentown and the Rajah Temple, Reading.

Surviving are children, Bruce Fichter, and his wife Kathy of Kunkletown and Dawn Fichter of Kresgeville; brothers, Robert in California and Larry of Macungie; and four grandchildren.  Frank was predeceased by brothers Walter, Curtis, Kenneth, and sisters Dr. Elaine and Virginia.

Services with military honors will be held on Monday, November 8, at 10:30 a.m. in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery.
