Fred L. Szvetecz, 71, of Bath, passed away Friday, November 26, in the St. Luke's Hospice House.  He was the husband of the late Roseann (Pammer) Szvetecz who died on January 26, 1996.

Born in Fountain Hill, he was the son of the late Ferdinand L. and Elizabeth (Vargo) Szvetecz.

Fred was employed by the former Bethlehem Steel Co.

Surviving are his companion Virginia Schlicher of Bethlehem; two brothers, John in Ohio and Michael in South Carolina; two sisters, Elizabeth Ameer of Pottstown and Gerie Marcus Harrisburg.

A Prayer Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, December 4, in the Pearson Funeral Home, 1901 Linden Street, Bethlehem, followed by interment in Holy Saviour Cemetery, Bethlehem.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be sent to the charity of one's choice.
