George A. Gostony, 68, of Fountain Hill, passed away Wednesday, May 22, 2024, in his home. He was the husband of Janice (Erney) Gostony.

Born in Fountain Hill, he was the son of the late Anthony and Catherine (Soldo) Gostony.

He owned and operated George Gostony Roofing Co. before he retired.

George was a member of the Fountain Hill Hose Co., Republican Club and Democratic Club. An avid Eagles, Penn State and Phillies fan, he loved the Kentucky Derby, horseracing, and fishing. He was the life of the party and will be fondly remembered for his yearly Christmas Eve gatherings in his home. A kind, goodhearted soul, he would help anyone in need. He adored his family, especially his daughters, grandchildren and his cat Callie.

Surviving with his wife Janice are two daughters, Kimberly Bednar and her husband Michael III, and Jamie Gostony and her husband Charles Canty, both of Fountain Hill; a sister, Ruth "Dolly" Bauder and her husband Roy of Hellertown; grandchildren, Davin and Alora Gostony, Michael Bednar IV and Canty grandchildren; a great-granddaughter Alex; many nieces, nephews and cousins.  He was predeceased by a brother Leonard.

Services will be held at 11:00 AM Wednesday, May 29, in the Pearson Funeral Home, 1901 Linden Street, Bethlehem. Family and friends may call Wednesday from 10 – 11 AM.
