George A. Lutz, 85, of Bethlehem, passed away peacefully on Thursday, June 22, 2017, after a short illness. George was born on November 20, 1931, in Ashley, PA to the late George and Alice Lutz. George graduated from Philadelphia College of Pharmacy and Science and worked at Rea & Derick as a pharmacist for 40 years. In retirement, he worked for Shipman's Pharmacy and the former Nazareth Pharmacy as a part time pharmacist. He was married to Patricia Lutz for 62 years before her passing last August. Together they raised their six children and enjoyed their thirteen grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.

George's family will remember him as a loving, caring, and outgoing husband, father and grandfather. He was a loyal friend to all, could always be counted on to lend a hand, and he made a great Old Fashioned. George enjoyed the large family gatherings, traveling the world with his wife, tinkering around the house, and telling a good story no matter how many times you heard it before. No one will ever forget his shorts and crazy socks. Patricia was the love of his life, he was an affectionate caregiver throughout her many years of illness. He missed her dearly this past year. They are now at peace together again.

Survivors: Sons, Gary and wife Pat of Northampton, Keith and wife Cathy of Whitehall, Scott and wife Jill of Palmerton; daughters, Pamela Kalamar and husband Stephen of Bethlehem, Sherry Reinhart and husband Michael of Bethlehem, Kim Samsel and husband Jeffrey of Nazareth; grandchildren, Mercedi, Hilary, Aubrie, Dakota, Kyle, Cody, Lorren, Courtney, Kayleigh, Daimler, Owen, Thomas, and Tabitha; six great grandchildren, McNally, Hadley, Emerson, Jolene, Luca, Max, and two more on the way.

Services: Wednesday, June 28, 2017 at First Presbyterian Church, 2344 Center Street, Bethlehem, PA 18017. Visitation hours will be from 12:30-1:30 with the service immediately following.
