Gregory V. Strong, 64, of Coplay, passed away on Sunday morning, April 28, 2019, in Lehigh Valley Hospice surrounded by his loving family.

Born in Bethlehem, he is a son of the late Rev. Eugene Sr. and Sarah (Maben) Strong.

A graduate of Liberty High School, he was employed as a welder for Conrail Railroad until his retirement.

He is survived by his daughter, Melissa O. Strong of Northampton; his son, Gregory A. Strong of Allentown; his sisters, Faith Strong and Ella Strong Capers, both of Coplay; seven grandchildren; nieces, nephews; great-nieces and nephews.  He was predeceased  by a brother, Eugene Strong, Jr. in July, 2018, a sister, Rev. Jean M. Strong on January 17, 2019, and also two infant sisters, June and May.

A Homegoing Service will be held on Wednesday, May 8, at noon in the Pearson Funeral Home, 1901 Linden Street, Bethlehem.  Family and friends may call from 11 a.m. until service time at noon.
