Helen I. Canfield, 91, of Bethlehem, died  November 14, 2017, in Westminster Village, Allentown.

Born in Williams Township, she was the daughter of the late John and Mary (Melchor) Kanuskey.  She received her BA from Moravian College, marrying Donald Canfield in 1947.

She was active in her community, often in a leadership role.  She worked as a caseworker for the Red Cross in service to military families, and as a public school teacher.  Her joys in life were family, friends, music, cooking, travel and giving back to her community.

Survivors: Sons, Jeffrey (wife Kate), New Hampshire, Curt (wife Chris), California,  and Joel (wife Lisa), New York, as well as a sister, 10 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.  She was predeceased by her husband Donald in 2009.

Services: A memorial service will be held at Christ Church - UCC, Bethlehem, at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday, December 2.
