Helen J. Hook, 100, of Bethlehem, passed away Tuesday, March 30, 2021, in Cedarbrook, Fountain Hill.  She was the wife of the late John L. Hook who died in 1970.

Born in Bethlehem, she was a daughter of the late Joseph and Katalin (Magyarics) Werkman.

Helen was a seamstress at the Muriel Dress Co. before retiring.

A member of St. Anne's Catholic Church, she enjoyed baking and was known as the "Chocolate Chip Lady".

Surviving are a daughter, Kathryn Hook of Bethlehem; a son, Joseph J. Hook, and wife Virginia of Allentown; grandchildren, Joseph D. and wife Gina, Kimberly and Sara Hook; great-grandchildren, Joseph M. and Jessica Hook, and Adriane Stump.  She was predeceased by sisters Mary DeLazzario, Goldie Hewko, Anna Baran and Elsie McGee, and brothers John, Frank, James and infant Joey.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, April 6, in St. Anne's Catholic Church, Easton and Washington Avenues, Bethlehem.  Family and friends may call Tuesday from 9:00 - 10:00 a.m. in the church.  Burial will be private.  Pearson Funeral Home, Bethlehem, is assisting the family (pearsonfh.com).
