James E. Bissey, 71, of Bethlehem, passed away Saturday, November 17, 2018, in Fellowship Manor, Whitehall.

Born in Allentown, he was the son of the late Paul E. and Marcia L. (Hill) Bissey.

A 1965 graduate of Liberty High School, James attended Moravian College where he belonged to Alpha Phi Omega fraternity, and later earned an associate's degree from Northampton Community College.

He was a member of Light of Christ (formerly Messiah) Lutheran Church, Bethlehem.  A Life Scout, he belonged to Boy Scout Troop #38.  James enjoyed gardening and ballroom dancing.

Surviving are a sister, Susanne C. Nelson, and husband Warren of Bethlehem; nieces, Stephanie Nelson and Kendra Nelson Couture; great-niece, Quinn Cunningham Nelson; great-nephew, Case N. Couture; cousins, Michael and wife Beverly Panebianco and Noel Panebianco.

Services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, November 21, in Light of Christ Church, 2020 Worthington Avenue, Bethlehem.  Family and friends may call Wednesday from 10 - 11 a.m. in the church.  Arrangements, Pearson Funeral Home, Bethlehem.
