James M. Klotz, 83, of Telford, passed away February 26, 2022.  He was the husband of Ruth (Heacock) Klotz for 59 years.

Born in Allentown, he was a son of the late Rollin P. and Elizabeth M. (Szy) Klotz.

James was one of the original founders of Coatings For Industry in Souderton. Throughout his tenure in the industry, he accumulated 10 U.S. Patents for aerospace coatings primarily used in turbine engines.

After graduating from Palisades High School where he played soccer and baseball, Jim went on to play soccer at Penn State.

He was a  member of St. Stephen's UCC Church, Perkasie, where he taught Sunday school and served on the Property Committee.

Jim enjoyed spending time on and caring for their Blue Bell Farm property, repairing and driving sports cars, sailing and traveling.  His greatest enjoyment in life was helping others and spending time with his family.

Surviving with his wife Ruth are children, Brian (Wendy) of Perkasie; Sharon (Chris) of Elkton, Maryland, and Kevin of Pottstown; a brother, William (Marie) of Milford Square; and four grandchildren, Sarah, Julia, Dylan and Ryan.

A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, March 4, at The Palace Room, 117 W. Broad Street, Quakertown with luncheon to follow.  Burial will be private at the convenience of the family.
