James C. Segesdy, Sr., 91, of Bethlehem, passed away peacefully on June 19, 2025. He was the husband of June A. (Edinger) Segesdy. Their 70th wedding anniversary is August 27 of this year.

Born in Bethlehem, he was the son of the late James and Frances (Gardner) Segesdy.

He was employed by the Bethlehem Steel Co. in the Roll Foundry before retiring as General Foreman in 1992, after 37 years of service.

Jim was a long time member of the former Messiah Lutheran Church in Bethlehem where he sang in the choir for more than fifty years and played on their Dart Baseball Team. He was also a past president of the MORA Club of Bethlehem and sang with the MORA Chorus. He was an active volunteer in several organizations following his retirement.

Surviving with his wife June are a daughter, Susan Butz, and husband James of Stroudsburg; sons, James, Jr., and wife Donna of Bethlehem and Scott, and wife Sally of Callaway, Maryland; six grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren.

Services will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, June 27, in the Pearson Funeral Home, 1901 Linden Street, Bethlehem. Interment will be in Bethlehem Memorial Park. pearsonfh.com
