Jane F. Smith, 81, of Bethlehem, PA, who had lived on the same street in Middlesex, NJ for more than 50 years, passed away Sunday, September 5, 2021, in Cedarbrook - Fountain Hill.  She was the wife of the late Raymond French, of Bound Brook, who passed away in 1972.

Jane worked as an administrative assistant in the legal, pharmaceutical and consumer products industries for many years before retiring. She also worked as a homemaker, raising her two children. She loved the Jersey Shore, and was fond of spending time at home, with her neighbors, and especially in and around her swimming pool.

She graduated from Rider College in Trenton, NJ, where she played basketball. She graduated as the all-time leading women's scorer.

She was a member of Our Lady of Mount Virgin Catholic Church, Middlesex, NJ. She volunteered for F.I.S.H for many years.

Jane leaves behind a loving and devoted family, including a son, Jeffrey French of London; a daughter, Jennifer Ryanczak of Centennial, CO; a sister, Nancy Friend of Bethlehem; and three grandchildren.

A Memorial Service will be held on Tuesday, September 14, at 11:00 a.m. in the Pearson Funeral Home, 1901 Linden Street, Bethlehem, PA.  Burial will be in St. Joseph's Cemetery, Bridgewater, NJ.
