Janet E. Hedrick, 84, of Allentown, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on August 6, 2026, in Lehigh Valley Hospital – Cedar Crest.

Born in Bedminster Township, Bucks County, she was a daughter of the late Ervin and Gertrude (Otto) Hedrick.

A graduate of Hellertown High School and St. Luke’s Hospital School of Nursing, Janet began her career as a private duty nurse and later worked at various Lehigh Valley nursing facilities. She was employed by Fellowship Community in Whitehall prior to retiring. She is remembered as a kind and compassionate nurse.

In her spare time Janet enjoyed crocheting, jigsaw puzzles, suduko, and spending time with her family. She had a special attachment to her 18 nieces and nephews.

Surviving are sisters Lois Wieand of Bethlehem, Marjorie Leith of Northampton, Lanette Weller (Dana) of Macungie, Joanne Piechota of Center Valley, Sharon Anderson of Whitehall, and Ruth Sharp of Bethlehem; a brother Robert Hedrick (Trudi) of Hellertown; and 18 nieces and nephews.  She was predeceased by a brother William.

Services will be private at the convenience of the family.
