John "Skip"  E. Haggerty, 89, of Bethlehem, passed away Monday, November 5, 2018.  He was the husband of the late Shyrlee D. (Wargo) Haggerty.

Born December 14, 1928 in Newark, New Jersey, he was a son of the late Joseph and Adeline (Carew) Haggerty.

John served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War from 1949 to 1953 and also worked in the trucking industry as the owner of Lee D. John, Inc. and LDJ Trucking, Inc. until he retired in 2007.

He is survived by  sons, John M. Haggerty, and his wife Jill, of Saylorsburg and David J. Haggerty of Allentown; daughter, Lynn S. Vincelli, and her husband Sal, of Bethlehem; grandchildren, Jessica Haggerty, Bliss Wayda Haggerty, Kelley Vincelli Gabany, Megan Haggerty and Maddison Haggerty; and five great-grandchildren.
