John Clinton "Clint" Miller, 94, a longtime resident of Allentown, Pennsylvania, died on June 26, 2026, at Moravian Hall Square in Nazareth, Pennsylvania where he had lived for the past three years. His friends and family are deeply grateful to the staff and caregivers there for the compassionate and attentive care they provided during his time as a resident.

Born in Erie, Pennsylvania, Clint was the son of the late John S. and Doris J. (Rose) Miller. He graduated from Ohio Wesleyan University and earned a Master of Sacred Music degree from Union Theological Seminary in New York City.

Clint was a gifted musician from an early age, gaining recognition as "Erie's Boy Soprano." Following his education, he served as organist and choirmaster at numerous churches and synagogues in and around Allentown, including St. John Lutheran Church, the Cathedral Church of the Nativity, Temple Beth-El, and the Episcopal Church of the Mediator. He performed throughout the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic, including playing the famed Wanamaker Organ in Philadelphia. He generously shared his talents with countless students through private instruction and his work at Lehigh University.

He was actively involved with the American Guild of Organists, served on the board of the Lehigh Valley Arts Council, was musical advisor to the Allentown Art Museum, and contributed his expertise to the Lehigh County Historical Society, particularly in the restoration of period instruments. For several years, he was an on-air programmer and classical music genre coordinator for WDIY, the National Public Radio affiliate serving the Lehigh Valley. He was also a leader and president of Le-Hi-Ho, one of the nation's earliest gay rights organizations.

He treasured his many friendships, delighted in long conversations, appreciated art, and had an enduring love of classical music.

Clint was predeceased by his parents and by his brother, Walter "Craig" Miller. He is survived by his nephew, Thomas Craig Miller of Erie, Pennsylvania; his niece, Heather Miller Cox, and her husband, Neal Cox, of Silver Spring, Maryland; his grandniece, Kendall Miller Cox of Silver Spring, Maryland; and many dear friends, former students, and colleagues whose lives were enriched by his friendship and generosity.
