John L. "Jack" Zieger, 79, of Bethlehem, died Sunday, April 22, 2018, in St. Luke's Hospital.  He was the husband of Anna Marie (Del Grosso) Zieger.  They celebrated their 57th anniversary last August.

Born in Fountain Hill, he was a son of the late John and Margaret (Sedor) Zieger.

Jack was a crane operator for the Bethlehem Corporation, then later was employed at Mack Trucks and the Bethlehem Area School District.  He served in the U.S. Marine Corps Reserves for 8 years.

Jack was a member of Holy Ghost Catholic Church and their Seniors Club.  An avid Yankees fan, he enjoyed camping, football, bowling, traveling and supporting his grandsons' activities.

Surviving with his wife, Anna Marie, are a daughter Donna Genevese, and husband Kevin of Whitehall; son, David Zieger, and wife Laura of Moore Township; sister, Margaret Zieger of Bethlehem; and grandsons, Anthony and Aaron Genevese.

The viewing will be held on Friday, April 27, from 9 a.m. - 10 a.m., followed by a Prayer Service at 10 a.m. in the Pearson Funeral Home, 1901 Linden Street, Bethlehem.  Burial will be in Holy Ghost Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be sent to the charity of one's choice.
