Jose Enrique Montañez, 61, of Bethlehem, passed away peacefully in the St. Luke's Hospice House on Thursday, August 27, 2020.

Born in San Lorenzo, Puerto Rico, he was a son of the late Pablo and Dorotea (Garcia) Montañez.

Surviving are a sister, Carmen Montañez with whom he resided; a brother, Jose Montañez; and several nieces and nephews.

Jose was part of the ACCESS Day Program, which he used to call "his job".  He was a friendly, lovable person who loved people.  Everyone in the community who knew Jose loved him.  He enjoyed being with family and friends at gatherings.  He was an avid Eagles and Iron Pigs fan.

Family and friends are invited to attend his viewing on Friday, September 4, from 8:45 - 9:45 a.m. in church.  Mass of Christian Burial begins at 10:00 a.m. in Holy Infancy Church, 312 E. Fourth Street, Bethlehem, PA 18015.  Burial will follow in Bethlehem Memorial Park.
