Joseph Arslan, 92, of Bethlehem died peacefully on Monday May 19, 2025 at Lehigh Valley Hospital Muhlenberg surrounded by his loving family. He was born on December 31, 1932 in Elazig Turkey; the son of the late Naum and Repega (Yagci) Arslan. Joseph is survived by his beloved wife of 51 years, Ayda Ramela Arslan and his two sons Arnold and Richard.

Joseph left an indelible mark on everyone he met. He was dedicated to both his immediate family, his extended family and always found time to stay in touch with his friends and relatives worldwide. While he had very strict rules for his two boys he became profusely lenient and generous with his two grandchildren who would light up his face every time he saw them.

He was a career civil engineer after obtaining his Master's degree from Cornell University in Ithaca, NY. A storied career that spanned 5 decades while taking him all over the United States.

Joseph touched so many other lives--nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles--too many to name and even all his neighbors over the years have all been better for knowing him and sharing their own special moments with him they will always remember.  Joseph will be eternally missed by his wife Ayda; son Arnold Arslan and spouse Adrine of MN; son Richard Arslan and spouse Kristie of PA and his two grandchildren Sophia and Luke.

Services: A celebration of Joseph's life will be held at Pearson Funeral Home, 1901 Linden Street Bethlehem, PA 18017, on Wednesday, May 28th 2025 with a viewing at 10 am followed by a celebration from 11-12 pm.  Internment services will take place at Bethlehem Memorial Park following the celebration services.
