Joseph W. Reed, Jr., 77, of Greentown, passed away Tuesday, July 31, in his home.  He was the husband of Faye (Chrobocinski) for 54 years.

Born in Zionsville, he was a son of the late Joseph Sr. and Nellie (Shaffer) Reed.

A U.S. Navy veteran, Joseph was employed by the Bethlehem Steel Co. before retiring.  He belonged to the Citizen's Fire Co. of Upper Milford Township and the Promised Land Sportsmen Association.

Survivors: He is survived by his wife, Faye; son, Joseph III and wife, Carol; sister, Patricia Boyer; grandchildren, Brianna, Kristina and Joseph IV; great-grandchildren, Paislee and Reed.  He was predeceased by a son, Matthew in 2013. He was also predeceased by brothers, George, Wilson and Richard and a sister, Elizabeth Meyers.

Services: Will be held Monday, August 6, at 10:30 a.m. in the Pearson Funeral Home, 1901 Linden Street, Bethlehem, followed by burial in Union Cemetery of Hellertown.  Family and friends may call Sunday from 4 - 6 p.m.
