Joyce V. Achey, 85, of Bethlehem, passed away Thursday, April 6, 2017, in the Fellowship Community, Whitehall.  She was the wife of the late Earl W. Zimmerman, who died in 1984 and the late Herbert Achey, who died in 2008.

Born in Leithsville, she was the daughter of the late Samuel G. and Beulah B. (Ruth) Heller.

Joyce was a faithful member of Ebenezer Bible Fellowship Church, where she taught Sunday school, served as Christian Women's Club speaker and area advisor, and Bible Study Fellowship children's leader.

Survivors: Son, James Zimmerman, and wife Marie of Pottstown; daughter, Sarah Hardy, and husband George of Bethlehem; grandchildren, Kevin and Amy Hardy, Mark and Suzi Hardy and Jeremy Zimmerman; great-grandchildren, Claire, Simon, Bennett, Tobin and Drew.

Services: Will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, April 12, in the Pearson Funeral Home, 1901 Linden Street, Bethlehem.  Family and friends may call from 10 - 11 a.m. Wednesday.

Contributions: In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to the church, 3100 Hecktown Road, Bethlehem, PA 18020.
