Joyce E. Bergey, 97, of Bethlehem, passed away on Friday, January 19, 2024 in Country Meadows of Bethlehem. Born in Allentown, the daughter of John F. and Anna M. (George) Olewine, Joyce was the wife of the late Charles K. Bergey and they shared 60 wonderful years of marriage together. Joyce was predeceased by two sisters, Marion A. Wolfe and LaRue B. Olewine.

Joyce graduated from Allentown HS in 1944 and prior to marriage she was a legal secretary for 10 years. She was then employed in the executive offices of General Acceptance Corporation as secretary to the president. After marriage, Joyce became a happy housewife and mother. She was active in both the church and her children's school activities. She was a member of Bethany UCC in Bethlehem. She and Charles volunteered their time at the Westside Emergency Food Pantry for many years. They also enjoyed travel throughout the United States during their retirement years. Joyce will be remembered for her kindness, warm hospitality and unwavering love for God and her family.

She will be greatly missed and lovingly remembered by survivors, including her 3 daughters: Susan Braden (Gail) of Flanders, NJ, Sally Wolfe (Steven) of Bethlehem, and Janice Bellhorn (William) of Waymart, PA; 2 granddaughters: Keri Wolfe, Houston, TX and Katie Wolfe, Flagstaff, AZ; and several beloved nieces and nephews.
