Judy Saldaña Po, 72, of Bethlehem, PA passed away on Tuesday, August 30, 2022 after fighting fearlessly against a cancer that could not extinguish her commitment to Jesus, love for her family and bringing light to the community.

Her husband of 49 years, Emmanuel Po and her three children, Jeremy, Andrew and Jade survive her.

Born October 27, 1949 in Pasig Rizal, Philippines, Judy was the youngest daughter of José and Filomena Saldaña.  She was the first of four siblings to immigrate to the United States with her father, José Saldaña in 1967.  They settled in Spokane, Washington where she reconnected with Emmanuel who was touring the United States in 1969.  The two were married in 1973.

She worked as a Medical Transcriptionist until 1979 when her first-born son Jeremy was born.  Followed by Andrew in 1981 and youngest, Jade in 1984.  Judy personally chose to forego her career to nurture her children with love and care she believed only a mother could provide.

Judy's family moved to San Diego in 1988 and then to Bethlehem in 1997 where she became active in Calvary Baptist Church and later, the Beth El Gibor synagogue.  Judy loved the Lord and shared his light with a natural sense of compassion for people and her infectious laugh.  Her smile would light up any room and her feet would never shy away from an opportunity to dance.

Judy will be lovingly remembered by:  Husband Emmanuel Po, son Jeremy Po (Jackie, wife) of Los Angeles, CA, son Andrew Po (Kali, wife) of Bethlehem, PA, daughter Jade Miller (Craig Miller, husband) of Sinking Springs, PA and their grandson Caleb.  Eldest sister, Priscilla Thangsombat (Kraisorn, husband) of Seattle, WA and three nephews: Patrick, Paul, Phillip and respective families.  Elder sister, Eleanor Andal (Galicano, husband) and two nieces: Camille, Kimberly and respective families.  Sister-in-law, Sylvia Saldaña (Esmeraldo, husband-deceased) and two nephews: Dennis and Daniel and respective families.  Also her grand-puppies, Desmond, Laney and Holmes.

A Celebration of Life service will be held on Friday, September 16, 2022 in Beth El Gibor, 1555 Linwood Street, Bethlehem.  Visitation hour will be held from 10 am - 11 am with the service beginning at 11 am.  Interment will be for immediate family only, but guests are welcome to stay at Beth El Gibor to help the family celebrate Judy's life.  Light refreshments will be served.
